Clinical Chemistry Applied (QCA) has announced the award of a €1,500 grant to the second best research project submitted by a start-up group. The awarded project, titled "Influence of attitudes and perceptions of primary care nurses in the assessment and management of suicidal behavior: a mixed study," is led by Principal Investigator Elena Juanós Álvarez from the Hospital de la Santa Creu, along with a team of researchers composed of Georgina Casanova Garrigós, Gerard Mora López, Laia Giné Bertomeu, and Paula Martí Millán.
This pioneering study combines quantitative and qualitative methods to analyze how nurses' attitudes and perceptions influence the assessment and treatment of suicidal behavior, with the aim of improving prevention strategies and action protocols in this crucial area of mental health.
