    PRINCIPLE

    Hayems reagent is an isotonic haematology solution composed of different salts. This concentration of salts causes lysis of the leukocytes while erythrocytes remain intact.

    DIAGNOSTIC USE

    The regular blood count forms the basis of haematologic diagnostics. Hayems reagent is used for diluting blood samples in red blood cell counts.
