For in vitro determination of C Reactive Protein.
State | Liquid |

Technique | Quantitative determination |
PRINCIPLE
The turbidimetric CRP LATEX reagent allows quantifying the level of CRP present in the sera samples by comparing the turbidimetric response produced by these with those obtained from sample with known concentrations of CRP.
The reagent consists of a suspension of latex particles of homogeneous size sensitized with anti-CRP, capable of aggregation in the presence of CRP. This aggregation process produces an increase in the size of the latex particles which in turn produces an increase in the absorbance of the system.
DIAGNOSTIC USE
C-Reactive protein is a γ-globulin, the level of which increases in infl ammatory processes, in the acute phase of diff erent diseases and after surgical operations. The main diagnostic value of its determination is in the detection of infl ammatory processes having a rheumatic origin.
Single test result could not be used to make a clinical diagnosis. It should integrate clinical and laboratory data.
