PRINCIPLE AND DIAGNOSTIC USE
The diagnosis of intestinal parasitic disease is based on the identification of eggs and larvae of helminths, cysts, and trophozoites.
For this, a means of conservation and transport of the sample and a system of separation of the parasites are required for further study.
Fixation (SF-FIX fixative does not incorporate formaldehyde in its formulation) allows maintaining the morphology of both parasites and eggs or cysts.
The sample separation and centrifugation system, adapted to the transport vial, facilitates and minimizes the handling of samples in the laboratory.
Reagents required but not supplied: Ethyl acetate or ethyl ether. Extraction (filters) and concentration sets are not included (see reference 180302)
